UN as a meeting place between foreign ministers of Venezuela and the Dominican Republic

The 73rd Period of Sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), served as a scenario for the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, and the Chancellor of the Dominican Republic, Miguel Vargas, to strengthen ties of friendship and solidarity between both nations.

Vargas is one of the many diplomats who weeks ago rejected any intervention in Venezuela, after the General Secretary  of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, did not rule out that possibility.

“Everything that is military intervention from one country to another, is a violation of the sovereignty of that country, we were victims in 1965 of an American military intervention”, said Dominican Foreign Minister.
