Foreign Minister Arreaza holds a cordial bilateral meeting with his Spanish counterpart Josep Borrell
In the framework of the 73rd Period of Sessions of the United Nations Organization and in order to strengthen the good relations of friendship, cooperation and plurality with the peoples and governments, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza , held a cordial meeting with Josep Borrell, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain.
Second meeting in the framework of the General Assembly of the UN, since on Tuesday the Venezuelan Foreign Minister spoke with his Spanish counterpart, where both committed to continue working to improve bilateral relations through a common work agenda that prioritizes the interests of both peoples.
It should be noted that also last Tuesday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asked the Government of Spain for the extradition of a suspected terrorist linked to the attempted assassination against him. “We are going to officially request the Government of Spain to extradite the person directly involved who was directing the operations from Spain to protect the terrorists after the attack”, said the President.
