Venezuela holds meeting with president of the Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly of Vietnam

The People’s Power Vice-minister for Foreign Relations for Asia, Middle East and Oceania, Rubén Darío Molina, and the Chairman of the Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Nguyen Van Giau exchanged ideas on the promotion of relations between two peoples twinned by History, which has contributed to upgrade the cooperation between Venezuela and Vietnam during the last years.

During the meeting, the role of parliamentary exchange in the strengthening of Vietnam – Venezuela relation was highlighted; countries that are strongly united despite geographical distance, said Nguyen Van Giau.

The president of the Foreign Policy Commission also emphasized that the venezuelan people will always be recognized for their courage and dedication, and will remain in the hearts of the vetnamese people, because of their solidarity during Operation Van Troi, when the asian nation fought its war against the american aggressor; that can hardly be forgotten.

“Operation Nguyen Van Troi was an important event in the armed struggle against imperialist intervention in the 60s of the last century and constitutes a historic milestone in the fraternal ties between Venezuela and Vietnam”, the parliamentarian said.

The two high representatives expressed their willingness to contribute the promotion of cooperation between Venezuela and Vietnam and agreed that this visit contributed undoubtedly to give new impetus to the relations between the two countries.

For his part, the parliamentarian said that Vietnam is moving towards economic sustainability and sustainable development by improving the growth quality and increasing labor capacity and competitiveness, in order to integrate themselves deeper into global commercial value chains.

Vietnam, he said, is determined to build a constructive and creative government for development, accelerate institutional reform, provide a favorable environment for businesses and the population, improve the quality of education and promote the spirit of creativity and dynamism of all the nation.

In turn, the diplomatic representative, Ruben Molina, stressed that before the constant aggression against Venezuela, the Bolivarian Government has undertaken a series of actions within the Economic Recovery, Growth and Development Program, in order to stabilize the country’s internal situation.

These measures include protecting the national monetary cone, attracting foreign investment, offering incentives for production, import and export of products, goods and services, launching of “Petro”, cryptocurrency anchored to the price of oil (barrel), and combat the traffic of fuel, by adjusting the prices of gasoline to international standards, always protecting and thinking about the people, by maintaining a margin of direct subsidy through the Carnet de la Patria.

He noted that this process designed by the Government of Venezuela provides an opportunity for the strengthening of economic and trade relations between the two countries and, on this new perspective, delivered the exportable offer so the venezuelan economyc potentialities  were known.

The venezuelan Vice-minister also offered detailed information on the process that the National Constituent Assembly is carrying out in the drafting of a new constitutional text and on the need to exchange legislative information through the visit of parliamentary representations.

Finally in the meeting, they agreed that Venezuela and Vietnam, brother countries forever, should promote visits of parliamentary delegations in order to strengthen and boost their relations. In this regard, Vice-minister Rubén Darío Molina extended a cordial invitation to the President of the Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly of Vietnam to visit and learn first-hand about the reality of the Venezuelan people.
