The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela through the Vice-minister of Foreign Relations for Europe, Yván Gil, delivered a note of protest to the diplomatic representatives of the governments of France, Poland, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands on Tuesday, in rejection of the Intervening meeting against the people and the Bolivarian Government, held within the framework of the Security Council of the United Nations (UN).
In this sense, Vice-minister Yván Gil condemned, in the name of the Venezuelan people and government, the meeting in accordance to the “Arria formula”, chaired by diplomatic representatives of the United States government, for interfering and unfriendly, erroneous and biased purposes, bet on international isolation and the taking of unilateral coercive measures against the Fatherland of Bolívar.
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry emphasizes in the official text that Venezuela demands respect for its sovereignty and the principles of the Charter of the United Nations, and reiterates that its people are sovereign, independent and the only one who has the right to decide their destiny.
With this act of protest, held from the Yellow House Antonio José de Sucre, in Caracas, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its independence, sovereignty, democracy and requires European countries to respect their internal affairs, as well as demanding the cessation of hostile actions against the people of Venezuela.
