Deputy Minister Rubén Molina held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia
In a cordial meeting, Deputy Minister Molina explained to his counterpart in Malaysia the nature of the aggressions and threats that the United States, the European Union and the so-called Group of Lima carry out against Venezuela, in a clear violation of international law, as well as the measures adopted by President Nicolás Maduro, to face the systematic attacks against the country.
In this meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, participated Kamsiah Kamaruddin, Sub Secretary of the Division for the Americas, Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani, General Director of the General Secretariat for ASEAN in Malaysia, and Nadzirah Binti Osman , Sub-secretary of the Multilateral Political Division.
Deputy Minister Molina, who was accompanied by the ambassador and officials of our diplomatic mission in Malaysia, stressed the importance for Venezuela of strengthening relations with the countries that make up the regional integration bloc Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which he expects to be a dialogue partner in the future.
There, he expressed the willingness of Venezuela to strengthen bilateral relations, to subscribe new cooperation agreements and to stimulate political, commercial, cultural and academic exchanges between both countries, within the framework of South-South cooperation.
For her part, the person in charge of relations with the Americas, Kamsiah Kamaruddin, thanked him for this visit and affirmed that her Government has high regard for relations with Venezuela and that the new administration will surely pay more attention to relations with Latin America. She dded that Malaysia condemns interference in the internal affairs of countries by foreign powers.
The Malaysian diplomat congratulated President Nicolás Maduro on the good performance of Venezuela in the presidency of the Non-Aligned, and stated that the Government and the people of Malaysia highly esteemed Venezuela’s firm support for the Palestinian cause.
Lastly, Deputy Minister Molina handed over to the diplomat the second edition of the Foreign Investment Portfolio 2018.
