The Bolivarian Government welcomes the return of 89 Venezuelans to the country coming from Peru

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, headed by President Nicolas Maduro, through the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry managed the return of 89 Venezuelans who requested the President, by their own choice, to return to the country from the Republic of Peru.

After having migrated and in the face of the hard reality of the Andean country, a group of Venezuelan citizens chose to request the national authorities to help them return to their home country. They all have different life stories but they did not hesitate to return to the country where they were born, despite the international discredit campaign and the current situation.

From the Simon Bolivar International Airport of Maiquetia, where dozens of family members awaited, the Director of the Consular Affairs Bureau of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Eulalia Tabares, received these fellow nationals on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro.

Each one of you is valuable for the Venezuelan people; we are very pleased to have you here. It is important that you and your family reflect all this love and effort being made for you to be here today, healthy with your families”, she noted.

In this context, the Director of the Consular Affairs Bureau of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations highlighted the need for each one of these 89 Venezuelans who returned to the country, to identify themselves and join the different social programs promoted by the National Executive.

The return of these citizens comes amid a calling made by the President to create and implement the “Repatriation Plan” which consists in the protection of Venezuelans living abroad and who wish to come back, something that demonstrates that the sensibility of the Venezuelan State knows no borders. / Pictures: Jesus Garcia
