Venezuela celebrates with joy the 42nd anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinist Popular Revolution

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of  Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the people and Government of Venezuela, joins the jubilation of the people and Government of Nicaragua, on the commemoration today of the 42nd anniversary of the triumph of the Popular Sandinista Revolution, celebrating the sacrifice of so many Heroes and Martyrs who achieved victory and consolidated the possibility of advancing towards a society of justice, prosperity, and a free, safe and fraternal Homeland.

Forty-two years ago, the generation of young Nicaraguans, founders of the FSLN, followed the example of the Cuban Revolution that triumphed in 1959. While in 1999, the generation that accompanied the Eternal Commander, Hugo Chávez, also had as a luminous beacon Nicaragua and its Sandinista Revolution, which with its example of nobility, loyalty, dignity and patriotism, represents a bastion of the struggle against imperialism for the peoples of the South.

We reiterate our militant accompaniment and solidarity with Commander Daniel Ortega Saavedra and comrade Rosario Murillo, on the roads of victories to come and condemn the political, economic and media aggression that imperialism has been imposing against the Nicaraguan people. The memory of Commanders Carlos Fonseca Amador and Tomás Borge illuminates the Sandinista Nicaragua of the 21st century.

From this heroic Venezuela, land of Liberators, we reiterate our commitment to the ideal of the Patria Grande, and our unwavering friendship with Nicaragua and the Sandinista Revolution, with which we share the same will to build a system that generates the greatest amount of happiness and prosperity for our peoples.

Long live 19 July!

Long live Sandino!

Long live the unity of Nicaragua and Venezuela
