This April 26, another 231 nationals from the Republic of Peru arrived in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on a flight of the state airline Conviasa, within the framework of the Plan Vuelta a la Patria.
They were received at the Simón Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetía, where they complied with all the biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Upon arrival, the PCR test was performed to rule out any contagion of COVID-19. Venezuelans expressed their gratitude to the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Peru for all the support provided and the management of the Plan Vuelta a Patria.
In an atmosphere of harmony and emotion, the compatriots were reunited with their relatives, who waited for them with open arms and eager for their return to the homeland that saw them grow.
This repatriation program has returned 24,029 nationals to the country, the majority from Brazil (7,285), Peru (5,675), Ecuador (4,596), Chile (2,242), Argentina (1,156), Italy (404) and Spain (329) .
